2006-P Benjamin Franklin "Scientist" Uncirculated Silver Dollar
Celebrating the tercentenary (300 year anniversary) of Benjamin Franklin's birth, the "Scientist" coin depicts a rendition of Franklin and his legendary kite experiment.
The reverse of the coin features a recreation of Franklin's political cartoon "Join, or Die." that was published in his Pennsylvania Gazette on May 9, 1754.
The coins composition is 90% silver and 10% copper. Its diameter is 1.5 inches and it weighs 26.73 grams.
The "Scientist" coin is limited to 250,000 units across the proof, uncirculated and Coin& Chronicles options.
